When we were out driving around for Téléthon I met a very nice gentleman called Jean-Michel, who find homes for my modern sisters in Chambray le Tours.
He offered Simon and Susan a carving of a Traction Avant, which arrived yesterday. Needless to say, they are enchanté, and have added it to the growing number of Mini-Me on their mantlepiece.

I feel Like Purring
Mon petit chou
I have a new sound, and it is oh so silky smooth. It did involve a little work down there but I am so quiet that I could sneak up on you and have you before you realised it.

Rebonjour
My friends.
I have been a litle busy lately, taking people on picnics, and picking other people up at the station. It has been very hot, so even on a short run I am at cruising speed really quickly - and no-one knows about cruising speed like a lady of my experience.
Next week I will be even busier, because Simon has members of his family visiting, I assume mainly to meet me.

An Older Little Sister.
While I was at Valençay yesterday (and attracting so much attention, naturellement) a petite soeur parked across the road. She is a couple of years older than me, but oh la la!!
You don't often see a lady that old all in red (and so shiny) but luckily for her she left before me. Otherwise I may have had to accidentally drive through a puddle.

A Day in the Sun
I went to visit some chateaux yesterday. It was so agréable to be in the open air on clear roads. Here I am making the chateau at Montpoupon look plus joli.
I am on a new régime, which is making me feel very spritely. I have given up on SP95 because of all that ethanol was giving me hot flushes, and now I am on Sp98. Simon says it makes me faster (cheeky!), but I must admit I feel better for the change.

One of the Family
Simon took me for une petite sortie this afternoon. Susan wanted to look at some orchids, and as I haven't had a run for a while we thought it would be nice to go out together while the weather was nice.
Simon and Susan called in to l'Image hotel, and parked me next to a cousine of mine. I don't know her - but I do know she is older than me.
Bisous

Taking the Treatment
Mes enfants....
I am visiting nice M.Musseau in Descartes this week, but panic not. Think of it as me spending some me time, being pampered as befits a lady of my renown. I worked hard two weeks ago, so Simon decided it would be good for me to have a little check to make sure he wasn't triring me over much.

Photo Call
Hello my little chickens
I am having a quiet week. This is because last week was so busy for me, and I am fatigued.
My only excursion from the garage was to have my photo taken with Susan. Un jouranal in Toowoomba (that is in Australia, which is why is it such a funny name) is writing an article about me, because that is where Susan grew up.
Don't I just look splendid!!

Hier
Mes Amis
Yesterday I went to Chenonceau, Clos Luce and Villandry with my new friends Scott and Sally from America.
Most unfairly - my coffre was full of wine - and I don't even drink!

Me - and un certain old building
Simon was worried it was going to rain - the météo said so, and like a duper he believed them. Needless to say, my paintwork remained bone dry and we had a lovely time, even though it became slightly frais in the afternoon. Most unfairly - my coffre was full of wine - and I don't even drink!

Bonsoir mes braves
Tomorrow I work - I am going to Tours airport. I hope it doesn't rain, but la météo n'est pas bonne.
Pas un problème, as long as my wipers work!

Une Course sous la Pluie
Mes enfants....
I have just returned from a run in the country with Leon and Sue. They are trés gentile and were most complimentary about me, naturellement.
I did fail to climb the rue de pavillons, but that was Simon's fault because he didn't treat me with the respect I deserve and failed to select the 1er vitesse at the bottom of the hill. Ce n'est pas grave, it meant that the people standing by the abbaye had longer to admire me.

Je roule
bonjour mes petits choux
It was so nice - the road beneath my wheels, the not too cold air rushing over my bodywork, the sun gleaming off my chromework... Yes, we had a little run in the countryside, just Simon and I. It was so much better than just having my engine turned over.
We stopped for a chat on the way back, where a VERY discerning older gentleman admired me (at length, naturellement), and offered Simon a new engine and gearbox. I should be insulted, but the admirer was so charming it is difficult.

les joies du printemps
bon après-midi, mes petites poules
It was lovely to get out of my garage today. I only moved to the front of the house, but I was in the lovely warm sun while Simon washed me.
A lady likes to be pampered, and moi surtout. First I was rinsed in water (cold water!!) then sprayed underneath with the pressure washer. Oh mes chers, how cold it was - and how it tickled. All that nasty salt from winter was washed away, and then I was soaped, sponged and wiped dry with a chamois cloth.
Now I sparkle again - or does that sound un peu vain? Je ne m'inquiète pas!

Mon Garage
J'aime mon garage.
It must be said that it isn't luxurious or plush, but it is out of the rain and the wind. and last night it was very windy. I am a lucky lady; I have a distant cousin who lives in a field. He is in a condition, similar to the condition I was once in. I hope one day that someone finds him and loves him.
But until the wind dies down I will be remaining inside.
qu'après la tempête
